Pinette and her Murillo Mudhens teammates have captured the Regional Championship. The team now travels to Winnipeg August 5th to 8th for Western Canadians. The triathlete picked up his second gold medal of the season by capturing the Lac Du Bonnet, Manitoba open event. Lindquist finished the race in a time of 1-hour and 10-minutes. The race consisted of a 750-metre swim, 20-kilometre bike ride and 5-kilometre run. Cory Smith of Dryden picked up a silver medal in his age group. Kira Kuzemchuk picked up a gold medal in the 200-metre breast stroke and a silver in the 100-metre event at the Manitoba-Saskatchewan Provincials in Saskatoon.
