         <title>Ice Dogs Gearing Up for Big Season</title>

         <description>It's hard to believe, but hockey season is just around the corner.
Dryden Ice Dogs President Ted Lake says its going to be a special year, as the team is celebrating 10-years of Junior Hockey.
Training Camp runs from August 26th until the 29th.
Clint Mylmock is back behind the bench for his second season with the team.
To take part in camp go to www.drydenicedogs.net.
The team is also looking for submissions for a 10th anniversary patch.</description>

         <description>The Hagan's Heroes and McKinstry Chargers have the upper hand in the Men's Slo-Pitch Semi-Final.
The Chargers downed the Wolfpack 11-6 Wednesday night, while the Hagan's Heroes upended the P.I. Rippers 30-11.
Both team's lead their Best-of-3 Semi 1-0.
In Dryden Ladies Fastball Regular Season play, the Thompson Paint Shop Angels blanked Time Out Sports 14-0.

         <description>Dryden's Megan Pinette is heading to the Western Canadian Fastball Championship.
Pinette and her Murillo Mudhens teammates have captured the Regional Championship.
The team now travels to Winnipeg August 5th to 8th for Western Canadians.
The organization is now fundraising to help cover some of the costs for Pinette and the rest of the club to participate.

The Best-of-3 Quarter-Final started on Sunday, with the McKinstry Chargers defeating McDonald's McDoubles 18-8 and the Wolfpack topping Scared Hitless 15-13.
The P.I. Rippers earned a win against Vermilion Bay.
Game two is slated for Wednesday.</description>

The Winnipeg High School Football League is out with its 2010 schedule.
The Eagles open play on September 10th on the road against arch-rival Kenora.
Dryden returns home on the 17th to face Murdoch MacKay.
The Eagles also play at home on October 8th and October 22nd.

         <title>Another Thriller in Ladies Fastball</title>

         <description>Members of the Dairy Queen Brazier Bunch and the A&amp;W Devils must be starting to get some Grey hairs.
The two Ladies Fastball teams played in their second classic match-up in a week Wednesday night with the Devils gaining revenge.
A&amp;W defeated DQ 14-13 in 10 innings.
Last week, Dairy Queen needed extra innings to win 10-9.
The other game Wednesday saw the DMTS Swingers winning for the fourth time this season, a 12-6 decision over Time-Out Sports.
In Men's Slo-Pitch, the McKinstry Chargers downed the Wolfpack 15-10.

         <description>The dream season continues for Dryden's Garrett Lindquist.
The triathlete picked up his second gold medal of the season by capturing the Lac Du Bonnet, Manitoba open event.
Lindquist finished the race in a time of 1-hour and 10-minutes.
The race consisted of a 750-metre swim, 20-kilometre bike ride and 5-kilometre run.
Cory Smith of Dryden picked up a silver medal in his age group.</description>

The Mudhens beat the Thompson Paint Shop Angels in the 'A' Side final, after narrowly defeating Dairy Queen in the Semi-Final.
Kakabeka Falls took home the 'B' Side Championship with a victory over Time-Out Sports Panthers.
The A&amp;W Devils won the 'C' Side title with a win over DMTS.
$100 was raised in the skills competition, which will be donated to the Dryden Oncology Unit.
Megan Pinette won the furthest hit and fastest runner competition.
Sam Sitar, from Murillo, captured the farthest throw competition.

         <description>A Dryden swimmer is headed to the Canadian Nationals.
Kira Kuzemchuk picked up a gold medal in the 200-metre breast stroke and a silver in the 100-metre event at the Manitoba-Saskatchewan Provincials in Saskatoon.
She also placed 6th in the 50-metre breast stroke and 10th in the 200-metre Individual Medley.
The 12-year-old is now headed to the Nationals in Winnipeg starting on July 21st.
