SIJHL Hands Out Suspensions

Two players will miss the rest of the Bill Salonen Cup.

The SIJHL has suspended Jake Gushue of the Dryden GM Ice Dogs and Sam Cirone of the English River Miners for their part in a line brawl during the second period of Game #1 Friday night.

Gushue has been suspended eight games, four because he's accumulated a maximum number of majors over the course of the season.

Cirone will miss six games, again four due to an overlimit of majors.

Mark Ziobro has been suspended three games.

Colton Johnson will miss Saturday's game.

Kaden Hintz has also been suspended one game for a major penalty with under ten minutes left to play in the game.

Game #2 of the SIJHL Final is tonight at 7:30 at he Dryden Memorial Arena.
