The unemployment rate has dropped in Northwestern Ontario.
Human Resources Development Canada says there was a drop of a full percentage point, from 6.8 percent in October to 5.8 percent in November.
However, HRDC says the drop has more to do with people giving up looking for work than new jobs being created.
About 16-hundred people in the region stopped looking for work last month.
