The Cultural Resources Coordinator at the Dryden Native Friendship Centre is encouraging local residents to take some time Saturday and share their stories of family members who fought in the great wars.
Cheryl Edwards says Remembrance Day is a day to celebrate all cultures and traditions.
Edwards says there are hundreds of people from this area who entered the field of battle to ensure our freedom.
She stresses it’s important to recognize those who have shaped our history.
Edwards adds today is for all people, noting acknowledging different cultures is the fabric of Canada.
