The Acklands-Grainger branch in Dryden is closing down in the new year.
Canada’s largest distributor of maintenance, repair and operational supplies has announced that the branch will be shut-down March 4th, impacting four employees.
Senior Director of Communications Michael Langdon says it was a very difficult decision.
However, Langdon says customer preferences are changing, more orders are being placed online, and more goods are being shipped directly to the business.
Langdon says existing sales staff will remain in place and they will still be able to provide the same level of service without an actual storefront.
Langdon notes they can still fulfill all orders and ship all product out of their distribution centres in Winnipeg and Toronto.
