It may not have seemed like a record breaking mild day yesterday but for some communities in the Northwest it was.
Environment Canada says many communities reached zero or slightly above and that was just enough to break a few records.
Sioux Lookout hit plus 1, breaking the old record of 0.6, Kenora reached 1, barely breaking the old record of 0.8 and Pickle Lake reached 0, just enough to surpass the previous mark of -0.6.
Environment Canada says the mild temperatures were set early in the day on Monday and readings fell throughout the day.
