The City of Dryden continues to work on a long term transportation plan.
Clerk Debra Kincaid says a final report on transit needs and solutions will be presented to Council next month.
Kincaid says they are looking to establish partnerships both in the private and public sector.
She says they want to offer a service that is more cost effective, but also increases the level of service.
Kincaid notes the ultimate goal is to have a third party handle both seniors transportation as well as service for youth, the disabled and low income individuals.
She says interest so far has been high.
Currently, transit service is run my MyLift.
It was launched six months ago and Kincaid says it has been well received.
Kincaid says they have more than doubled the number of registered users and trips per month have also gone up significantly.
She adds everyone is happy with the quality and professionalism provided by the booking and scheduling staff and the drivers.
Stats show that 95% of MyLift riders are over the age of 55 and 81% are female.
