The Keewatin-Patricia District School Board will introduce a new program this Fall aimed at students who continue to have difficulty with the basics.
The Board plans to spend $1.4 million for a late literacy program.
Director of Education Dave McLeod says they have already had excellant results in the early literacy program and feels the same will hold true in this case.
The Board will hire up to 9 new teachers for the program which will start this fall.
