The head of the local health authority has a list of items she wants to check off her list before retiring in April.
North West Local Health Integration Network Chief Executive Officer Laura Kokocinski says she wants to enhance health care across the region.
Kokocinski says they want to ensure services are available for all residents, noting the system can be improved by upgrading technology and mobile services.
However, Kokocinski notes the LHIN has come a long way since she started in 2010, stressing they have been able to form strong partnerships.
She says she has seen some big improvements in collaboration, stating everyone seems to be working together.
Kokocinski says it was a difficult decision to step away from the job, but notes she's spent 45 years working in the health care field.
