Northwestern Ontario residents smoke, drink and struggle with their weight more than their counterparts in the rest of the province.
Recent statistics released by the province’s health quality index show that we smoke more than the rest of the province and die younger at just over 78 years old.
Obesity rates are also higher in the North east and west. Health Unit Medical Officer of Health Dr. David Williams says they’ll be working on what they can do to lower those figures. To read the full report click here. (File photo)
