Provincial Police will be keeping a close eye on motorists and their passengers for the next week.
The annual Fall Seat Belt Enforcement campaign is underway.
Sergeant Shelley Garr says despite all of the warnings and a provincial law being in place for decades, some still don’t get the message.
Garr says in three fatal vehicle crashes in northwestern Ontario this year, improper seatbelt use was identified.
She adds 124 people were charged for not wearing their seatbelts during last years campaign.
Garr notes a fine for not buckling up is between $200-$1,000.
