Mines Minister Michael Gravelle is defending the province’s mining prospects amid recent findings from the Fraser Institute.
The Global Mining Survey ranked Ontario only 9th out of the 12 provinces for attractive mining investments, and 28 in the world.
Gravelle says he feels good about the sector, despite recent hurdles, noting in 2014, there was $600 million in exploration spending in the province.
He adds the survey doesn’t account for any challenges. (File photo)
