A 22-year-old man is in custody following an incident Wednesday night that started with a report of a stolen vehicle in Fort Frances.

When Provincial Police spotted the vehicle, the driver sped away.

A short pursuit took place, but ended because of safety concerns.

The vehicle was eventually located east of Fort Frances where officers were able to use a spike belt to stop it and arrest the driver.

OPP say Zachary Oscar Henry Jim of Seine River First Nation faces charges of dangerous driving, flight from police, possession of stolen property and weapons dangerous to the public.
