Residents of Dryden are going to be benefitting from upgrades to drinking water in the near future.
Kenora MP Greg Rickford is announcing funding from both the Federal Government’s Small Communities Fund and Province of Ontario to the Water Treatment Plant of 1.3 million dollars combined to twinning the raw water intake pipe on Dickson Road to the Water Treatment Plant on Wilde Street.
Rickford says both the City of Dryden and help from Mines Minister Michael Gravelle are what made the project possible.
Rickford adds the project is estimated to cost around 1.9 million leaving approximately $600 000 to be paid by the City of Dryden. (Photo by: Rayson Martyn)
