Bad weather may have been a factor in a fatal crash near Thunder Bay early Sunday morning.
OPP say a pickup truck left the road and went into the ditch, about 30 kilometres east of Thunder Bay on the Trans Canada Highway.
Police say the truck caught fire after the gas tank broke away and mixed with the exhaust system.
The driver was killed but a passenger managed to escape.
However, he was seriously injured and was airlifted to Winnipeg for treatment.
The vehicle was registered in Alberta.
An autopsy is being conducted on the driver today.
