A close call for a ”Bird Dog” aircraft at the Dryden Airport last night.
Emergency personnel were on hand around 7-PM when the pilot of an Aero Commander 500 reported the plane was having landing gear troubles.
The twin engine aircraft circled the airport and managed to land safely until its nose gear collapsed as it skidded to a halt.
No one was hurt but the plane was slightly damaged.
”Bird Dogs” are stationed in Dryden during the fire season.
