The provincial government is kicking in another $40-million to make the Internet faster for high school students.
It’s part of the government’s Broadband Access for All Students initiative to improve access at all schools by 2021.
Education Minister Indira Naidoo-Harris says the next phase will benefit more than 850 schools province-wide.
She says students in the north have already benefiting from a $50-million investment.
An expansion of broadband to schools in northwestern Ontario is already underway.
