A Northwestern Ontario MPP is re-newing calls for the Province to introduce legislation that would prevent sudden price increases at the gas pumps.
The cost of gasoline has jumped 15-cents a litre in most communities.
Michael Gravelle says he would like to see a bill requiring oil companies to advise the public of any hikes a couple of days in advance.
Gravelle also wants the Province to hire a gas price watch-dog who would force oil companies to justify the reason for any sudden increase.
