Black bears are coming out of hibernation and that means there could be more nuisance bears in Northwestern Ontario this year.
Dryden-based Lorna Wood, a spokesperson for the Ontario Black Bear Association, says unless the spring bear hunt is reinstated there will be more problems.
Wood feels Premier Ernie Eves understands the differences between Northern and Southern Ontario.
She believes Eves will follow through on a promise to bring back the spring hunt.
