The Dryden and District Museum continues to work with the City on a new long-term strategy.
The facility is now open three days a week on a temporary basis.
Chief Administrative Officer Ernie Remillard says they are currently going through a restructuring plan and the Museum is now under the umbrella of the new Community Development Department.
Remillard says he has $67,000 a year to spend and he’s trying to find a way to make sure those dollars are spent as effectively as possible.
He says there is now a job posting for a Cultural and Tourism Coordinator who will be responsible for the daily operation at the Museum.
There will be a reception Wednesday at the Museum from 6:30 until 8:30 and the event is open to artists, museum members and the general public.
This month the facility is hosting the exhibit “Happiness is…”, a collection of pieces created by local artists.
