The major storm is moving through the region, with the Red Lake and Ear Falls districts bearing a brunt of it.
CKDR Meterologist Bill Laidlaw says visibility in the northern communities is already reduced to less than a kilometre.
He says the storm will spread into Sioux Lookout before lunch and threaten the Highway 17 corridor Tuesday afternoon.
Winds will pick up and visibility will be poor.
Laidlaw is calling for 10 to 15-centimetres north of the CN Rail line, half of that in Dryden and Ignace.
We can expect another 5 to 7-centimetres of drifting snow Tuesday night.
