McTeague blames the current prices on the shutdown of two of three oil refineries in Edmonton.
He also cites pressures on gasoline prices throughout the Midwest U.S.
McTeague notes northerners aren’t the only one impacted, stressing all of Canada is breaking through records that we haven’t seen since 2014.
McTeague adds the price may drop about four cents in the coming weeks, but warns Summer is right around the corner.
He’s predicting an expensive year ahead, with prices potentially hitting a dollar-forty throughout the year.
Prices in Dryden are around 134.9.
The Ontario average is 130.7.
