Muay Thai Boxing returns to northwestern Ontario Saturday night with the K-Town Throwdown in Kenora.
Dryden's Sarah Carter is involved in the fights and she says there will be plenty of other local talent involved.
The card features boxers from Red Lake, Thunder Bay, Kenora, Winnipeg and other parts of the nation.
The event is being held at the Kenora Arena and Carter admits there will be some nostalgia as she spent her whole life playing hockey.
Carter is 9-1 this year and she faces Medicine Hat, Alberta's Jamie Droeske.
Carter says she faced Droeske earlier this year and notes it was a tough and hard fought five round match that she won.
Tickets are available at the arena and doors open at 5:00.
Muay Thai boxing encompasses punches, kicks, elbows and knees.
Some of the proceeds of the event will go towards the local Alzheimer's Society.
