Another blow to the National Inquiry into Missing and Murdered Indigenous Women and Girls.
Executive Director Debbie Reid has quit, just three months on the job.
Reid becomes the latest high ranking official to leave the troubled two-year probe.
The Inquiry says Director of Operations Calvin Wong will act as interim Executive Director, starting right away.
No reason was given for Reid's departure.
A statement from the Inquiry reads "while they can't discuss the details of the matter, we thank Debbie for her contributions".
It goes on to say "we have a sacred responsibility to the 597 families and survivors who have entrusted the national inquiry with their truths and the 600 more who are registered to do so".
