Ontario Progressive Conservative leader Patrick Brown is once again trying to drum up support in northern Ontario.
Brown was in Thunder Bay Wednesday for an election style stop.
Brown stated that local businesses are struggling to keep jobs due to hydro rates and rushed labour reforms.
He says that they tell him that they feel that they are under attack.
Brown says he will eliminate government red tape if he’s elected Premier next year.
Brown says he spoke with an official with Noront Resources, who told him that it has taken two years for an environmental assessment to be approved for the Ring of Fire.
He notes it should only take 45-days for it to be completed.
Brown also took time to urge Premier Kathleen Wynne to intervene in the province-wide college strike.
Brown says if he was in charge, he would have ordered both sides in the dispute to return to the bargaining table right away.
He says there is urgency here and the strike simply can’t drag on.
