On March 10, 1989 Air Ontario Flight 1363 went down just off of runway 29 at the Dryden Municipal Airport. This exhibit dives in to look at the incident, the response of our citizens, and the impact that this accident had on aviation. This exhibit opens Friday March 1, 2024. Join us from 6:00pm - 8:00pm at the Dryden & District Museum (15 Van Horne Avenue, Dryden Ontario) to learn about this significant moment in Dryden's history. Cannot attend this date? This exhibit will be on at the Dryden & District Museum until May 10, 2024. You can visit the Museum from Tuesday - Friday from 9:00am - 5:00pm. OPENING SOON! Come celebrate the ever-evolving world of Indigenous Ingenuity with our travelling exhibition, presented by Indigenous Tourism Ontario and Science North in partnership with the Dryden Museum. The exhibition will be at the Royal Canadian Legion in Dryden from May 14 to June 1. Since time immemorial, Indigenous peoples have demonstrated tremendous ingenuity; inspired and guided by place, spirit, and nature. The world we know today is influenced by their scientific knowledge. Ongoing contributions of Indigenous innovations, knowledges, and worldviews are integral to the mosaic of humanity. This exhibition presents a clever and novel mix of science and culture. It celebrates the diversity, interconnectedness and resourceful ways of knowing and being, that Indigenous knowledge and innovations provide in the global community. Admission is $4/person, and it’s fun for the whole family! Visit Tuesday through Saturday from 9:00am to 5:00pm, with the last entry at 4:00pm.
