What a way for the Ice Dogs to end 2005! The Dogs snapped the Fort William North Stars 26 game winning streak with a 5-1 pounding of the stars in Thunder Bay tonight.
The North Stars drew first blood, notching an early 1st period goal, but the Ice Dogs came into the second period a new team!
Tyler Tesch tied things up at 1:25 of the 2nd, and Joe Harding put the Dogs in the lead with a penalty shot between the pipes at 6:04. The Ice Dogs added three more unanswered goals in the 3rd – coming from Cory Smith at 5:06, Tyler Tesch (2nd of the night) 42 seconds later, and Dale Logel at 9:11.
