An experience of a lifetime is wrapping up for Dryden’s Maddie MacDonald.
The Dryden Eagles hockey player was the only Canadian selected to play on an American professional team at a four game exhibition series in Europe.
The team played two games in Bad Toltz against the host Germans and two games in Prague, Czech Republic against Russia.
The Americans weren’t able to post a victory against the teams that featured a handful of former Olympians.
The Russian squad has been number one in Europe for six out of the last eight years, while the Germans are ranked 4th out of 16 professional teams.
Maddie is entering her Grade 12 year at DHS and is now enjoying some downtime overseas with her family.
