A goal with 12-seconds remaining was the difference as the Fort Frances Lakers stole a 5-4 win over the Dryden GM Ice Dogs Tuesday night.
Dryden GM looked like it was going to win its second on the road when Josh Brunton scored his first SIJHL goal on the power-play in the third to take a 4-3 lead but the Lakers battled back despite being outplayed.
Cole Golka, Jonathan Philley and Joel Zieroth also found the back of the net.
The Ice Dogs were only playing with 13 skaters due to injuries.
The rematch is Saturday night in Fort Frances.
