In loving memory of Joanne Norman who passed away unexpectedly on Tuesday September 9, 2014. Joanne was born December 18, 1973 in St. Anthony, Newfoundland. While Joanne has lived in Dryden since 1979, her heart remained in Newfoundland.
Joanne is survived by her parents, Gilda and Perry Norman; her brother Jonathan (Sarah), her nieces Camryn and Callie; her Nan Velma Simms, many aunts, uncles, cousins, and friends. She is predeceased by her Pop (Francis) Simms, Nan (Jennie) Norman, Pop (Raymond) Norman, Uncle Wade Newman, Aunt Daphne Eddison, and Aunt Margaret Hughes and other extended family.
Joanne will be remembered for her love of hairdressing, the Ice Dogs, the Calgary Flames, and all of the children in her life, most notably, Camryn and Callie. Joanne loved celebrating her Newfoundland heritage while spending quality time with her immediate family and her extended family and friends, who she loved nothing more than to tell it like it was.
Visitation will be held at the Dryden Community Funeral Home on Friday September 12, 2014 from 6:00 p.m. to 8:00 p.m.
A Funeral Service to celebrate the life of Joanne will be held on Saturday September 13, 2014 at 1:00 p.m. at the Dryden Agricultural Centre with Pastor Velma Henderson officiating. A private family interment will follow at a later date.
