Ice Dogs Pick Up Four Points On Weekend

A pair of home wins for the Dryden GM Ice Dogs on the weekend.

The Ice Dogs started things with an 8-4 victory over English River on Friday night.

Eric Stout, Wyatt Lawrence and Luke Bellerose each scored a pair of goals, while Sam Mouland and Chris Atanas added singles.

The Ice Dogs outshot the Miners 56-26, with Isaac Labelle picking up the victory in his first SIJHL game.

Michael Di Lullo and Matt O'Neill both scored twice for English River, with Josh Brezniak suffering the loss in his first start.

Dryden GM followed that up with a 6-2 win over Fort Frances on Saturday.

Malcolm Huemmert scored his first two goals of the year for the Ice Dogs.

Eric Stout, Evan Walls, Josh Sylvain and Jacen Bracko added singles.

Logan Sawka made 33-saves for the win.

The Ice Dogs remain one point back of first place Thief River Falls.
