It took more than 60 minutes, but not much more, as the Dryden Ice Dogs scored 13 seconds into overtime to win game seven 4-3 at home Saturday night. It was a back and forth affair in front of a packed house which saw the Thunder tie the game on three seperate occasions to force the clincher to extra time. After further review Konrad Bruetsch was credited with the winner at the 13 second mark of overtime as the Ice Dogs won the best of seven semi final series 4 game to 3. It was a night of unsung heroes as Rowan Breutsch, Merlyn Smith scored while league goal scoring champ Joel Poshtar also found the back of the net. Breton Lindoff made 33 saves for the win between the pipes. The ICe Dogs will now get a week to prepare for the Bill Solonen Cup when they travel to Thunder Bay for the first two games against the Fort William First Nations North Stars.
