After three losses in a row the Dryden Ice Dogs have given up first place in the SIJHL after a 5-3 loss to the Fort Wiliam First Nations North Stars in the Thunder Bay Last night. It was a tight contest which saw the teams tied at 3 six and half minutes into the third period, but the North Stars scored the winner less than 2 minutes later and added an empty net goal to sweep the Dogs. Scoring for Dryden were Jeff Sachowski, Merlyn Smith and Konrad Breutsch. Breton Lindoff stopped 38 shots in the loss. The North Satrs are now 1 point ahead of the Ice Dogs for first in the standings with 2 games in hand.
