The Dryden Ice Dogs fell 7-3 to the Borderland Thunder in game 2 of their best of 7 SIJHL semi finals last night at the Dryden Memorial Arena. Dryden saw several chance just miss while the Borderland Thunder scored in the first minute of each of the three periods. With the loss the Ice Dogs will now have to win one on the road to regain home ice advantage as the series tied at one shifts to Fort Frances for the next two games. Scoring for the Ice Dogs were Konrad Bruetsch, Jordan Lamarche and Tyler MacDonald. Breton Lindoff faced 44 shots in the loss. In Thunder Bay the Fort William First Nation North Stars cruised to a 10-0 win over KC Bulldogs on home ice. The Stars now have a 2-0 lead in their best of seven with games 3 and 4 at the Fort William Gardens.
