The SIJHL has come down hard on the Dryden GM Ice Dogs.
The league has issued a bizarre ruling as a result of a post-game melee following a 2-0 Ice Dogs victory last Sunday in Thief River Falls.
As Dryden GM was celebrating their third straight shutout, a Norskie player entered the grouping, resulting in a scrum.
As a result, Head Coach Kurt Walsten, forwards Matthew Pitchenese and Eric Stout as well as defenceman Joseph Santalucia have all received two game suspensions.
Norskies Coach Cole Workman received only one game, while Peter Grytdahl was handed a two game ban.
The two teams meet in Dryden Sunday night at 7:30.
