Ice Dogs Clinch First Round Bye

The Dryden GM Ice Dogs erased a 2-0 deficit with a second period explosion en route to a 4-3 win over the Thief River Falls Norskies Sunday.

With the victory, Dryden GM clinched a Quarter-Final bye, and kept their first place hopes alive.

Kris Hamlin, Jacen Bracko, Ted Davis and Tristan Knott scored for the Ice Dogs.

Landon Pavlisin made 24-saves for the win.

The Ice Dogs and Norskies are now tied for first in the SIJHL standings with two games left to play.

The first round of the playoffs are now set in stone.

The 3rd seed Thunder Bay North Stars face the Minnesota Iron Rangers, while the English River Miners will battle the Fort Frances Lakers.

Yesterday, Jacob Siebenga scored twice to lead the Miners to a 4-2 win over the Lakers.

Spencer Milne and Brody Jennings added singles.

Michael Lenko stopped 41-shots for the win.
