In loving memory of Georgina Mary Florence Richardson Born July 2, 1938 who passed away peacefully May 2, 2017 at the Dryden Regional Health Centre.
Georgina is predeceased by her husband Fred Richardson, sons Wayne and Ernie and parents George and Florence Ruete.
Georgina is survived by her best friend and partner Lawrence Russell, her brother Joe & Connie Ruete, Daughter-in-law Lorraine Richardson and Grand Daughter Phoebee Richardson and Great Grandson Aiden. Gigi is also survived by cousins: Reg (Judy) Crigger and Ken (Marg) Crigger and by many nieces, nephews and extended family.
Georgina grew up with farm life in Minnitaki where she attended school in the one room school house and then later attended Dryden High.
She continued to live in Minnitaki with her family where her home became a central gathering place for family and friends. She later moved to the home she built on Eagle Lake.
She worked for The St. Regis Co. (Dryden Paper Co.) then drove school bus for over 30 years. She enjoyed the outdoors: fishing, hunting, camping, with family and friends. She was an active member of the Happy Go Lucky Seniors Club. She enjoyed many bus trips, craft sales and musical get-togethers and cribbage tournaments.
A memorial service will be held at the Dryden Community Funeral Home, Saturday May 6, 2017 at 2:00 p.m. with Pastor Wayne Toews officiating. Interment of ashes will take place at the Minnitaki Cemetery at a later date.
If friends so desire, donations may be made to the Municipality of Machin – Post Park Playground Equipment Fund through the Dryden Community Funeral Home, 249 Grand Trunk Ave., Dryden, ON, P8N 2X3
