The first day on the brand new, long awaited, much anticipated play equipment at Plumridge Park! By the evening of the 1st day dozens of children had already tried it out. A big thank you to everyone involved in the purchase and installation of the new source of joy for many local youth.

The Sioux Lookout Anti-Racism Committee booth was a very busy place throughout the 2009 Sioux Mountain Music Festival. People stopped by to pick up festival T-shirts, merchandise, and raffle tickets on an $800 Blueridge BR-70 guitar.

Local musician Shy-Anne Hovorka debuted some singles from her new album, which is still being recorded, during the 2009 Sioux Mountain Music Festival. Shy-Anne is currently nominated for Best Pop Album, Best Folk Album, and Best International Album in the Aboriginal People's Choice Awards. Crowds of people lined up at Town Beach throughout the afternoon to take a horse-drawn wagon ride through Sioux Lookout. Cedar Bay supplied the horses, wagon, and driver. Mother Nature supplied a beautiful day for a wagon ride at the 2009 Sioux Mountain Music Festival.
