Dryden Rotary President Joanne Kusnick presents a check for $6,000 to Kathy Campbell from the Red Lake New Starts Womens Shelter. Other donations included $10,000 to the Red Lake Hospital Ultrasound fund, $1,000 to Red Lake Community Policing, $5,000 to the Ear Falls Homeless Shelter and $1,000 to the Ear Falls "Give Kids a Ride" program. Funds were raised through Rotary Radio Bingo on CKDR. Further donations to Dryden and other area causes are forthcoming.

FAS GAS is running a "spin in to win contest"
at several hundred Fas Gas stations from Dryden to the west coast. There are 20 grand prizes of FUEL FOR A YEAR,($2500 value) and Dryden's Norma Boyd was lucky enough to be a grand prize winner. Norma is pictured with Kevin and Tony from Fas Gas in Dryden.

Andrew Skene of the Dryden Regional Health Services Foundation accepting a cheque from the staff of CIBC Dryden for the CT Scan fund. CIBC pledged $15,000 toward the cause.

BMO Dryden Employee Charitable Foundation staff members present a cheque to Andrew Skene of the Dryden Regional Health Services Foundation.
The Dryden Branch has donated over $2,200 toward hospital initiatives in the past month.

New Prospect School students were challenged to raise a certain amount of money in order to have the principal dress as Little Bo Peep - and they did! I'd say he doesn't look too BAAAAAAd.

The funds from the Extreme Challenge go to the Terry Fox Run for cancer research.

Students paid a loonie to nominate their favourite staff member to perform an extreme challenge on stage. The individual with the most money raised against them had to perform the challenge.

Okay, seriously, who HASN'T wanted to do this? Ms. Robinson at New Prospect School gets taped to the wall in the annual Extreme Challenge, a fund raiser for the school's Terry Fox Run for cancer research.

Ms. Robinson was not only duct taped to the wall, but then had to do the pudding plunge while stuck up there! The occasion was New Prospect School's annual Extreme Challenge, October 2nd. October 2-4 The Vermillion Bay area Kinsmen and Kinettes hosted a District Leadership Conference at Cedar Point Lodge. There were attendees from both Dryden Kinette and Kinsmen clubs, Vermilion Bay Kinette and Kinsmen clubs and Kenora Kinsmen.
