(S. Stewart Aug. 7,2010) The Children's Resource Centre supplied the playdough....the kids supplied their imaginations, during the Centennial Children's Festival August 8 in Dryden. Face Painting during the Centennial Children's Festival August 8. Hundreds of kids (and their parents) showed up for a great time! Dryden's 'Borderline' with Alex Parenteau - entertainers at the Dryden Trappers' Council Family Dinner and Dance August 8 during the Dryden Centennial the Can-Am Windsuring Championships at Sandy Beach on Wabigoon Lake - continuing through Sunday August 8. Over 65 competitors from Canada and the United States are competing! Keeping in the "Windsurf Spirit," DMTS provided spectators with the opportunity to 'tie dye' a t-shirt at the Can-Am Windsuring Championships at Sandy Beach. Over 350 t-shirts were given away on Friday! "and I made it myself" Another masterpiece from the DMTS 'tie-dye' table at the Can-Am Windsuring Championships at Sandy Beach. Lauri Gregg Sail CAN 257 left President of Canadian Masters Windsurf Association and right John Darling Sail CAN 130 past president of Windsurfing Canada - both are competing (Blanchard photo) Members of the Dryden Genealogical Society hosted their annual "Spirit Walk" as part of Dryden's Centennial. Over 170 people attended over two nights. The Society has produced a book containing over 50 stories about some of those buried in the cemetery.
