If you look carefully, you will see one sled tipped in the middle of the action. John Gavel took a dive, but quickly recovered. But in that tight starting group, he was just inches from being hit by another sled. Close one!!

Emergency crews race in to examine a Winnipeg racer who took an unbelievably nasty spill in Saturday's Sno-X races in Dryden. He regained consciousness having no idea what happened, but anxious to continue racing. Officials told him to take a break.

It was a heart-stopping moment at Saturday's Sno-X races in Dryden as a racer fell in front of his machine coming off a jump, and then had it land on him. He lay motionless, and unconscious, for what seemed like forever, before regaining his senses and walking off the track. A testament to the safety equipment these riders wear when they race! Day two action starts at 10am Sunday at the Dryden Fairgrounds.

Tense moments Saturday afternoon at Dryden Sno-X 2010 as a Winnipeg racer came over the front of his sled off the finish line table on the last lap, landing hard, face first in the snow, before being speared by his own machine. After regaining consciousness, he walked off the track, trying to convince officials to let him continue racing. Unbelievable.
