Dr. John Porter gave Gary Rumpel of Kenora a ‘new knee’. Gary is the 1000th patient to receive a knee arthroplasty through a Northwest Regional Tri-Hospital joint replacement program. The devastating A-10 Thunderbolt 11 (aka 'the warthog') will appear alongside the famous Canadian Forces "Snowbirds." The Dryden Eagles Girls "seniors" Taylor Findley, Lauren Shoguci, Molly Dorfman, Karly Tardiff and Kylie Engstorm pose after capturing the Norwossa Gold and their 5 title in 6 years. Good Luck at Ofsaa in Wingham. The Dryden Devils won the "B" side championship at the Kenora Atom tournament on the weekend of March 12th, great season kids! The Northwestern Ontario All-Star Peewee Hockey team is off to the Provincial 'AAA' Championship after a 5-4 overtime win against the Thunder Bay Kings. Dryden's Geoff Kitt scored twice, including the Championship winner. 8 members of the Dryden 'AA' Paperkings are on the team. See Local Sports for more details. (S.Boon; March 14) The Dryden Tigers finished second in the 'A' Side Championship. at the Kenora Atom Hockey Tournament. Officials stressed that they are proud of the teams effort, noting they have come a long way since the start of the year.
