"Fishing for Life" at the Gillons Insurance booth at the Red Lake Chamber of Commerce Trade Show April 16 & 17. Gillon's was matching all donations to the Red Lake Relay for Life Committee. Angling was via the popular "Wi" fishing game.

The Dryden Atom Girls Guenther Flooring Flames are looking to bring home the Stanley Cup and Mark Messier!
Members of the team, 9 year olds McKenna Corvello and Maya Nickle along with Flames' coach Gary Nickle recently joined CKDR morning show host Richard McCarthy to talk about the contest and their quest. The online voting contest ends April 17th. To vote check the direct link on the main page.

Members of the Oxdrift Judo Club that competed in La Broquerie Manitoba Tournament. Everyone who competed came home with a medal, and Jarod Burnell came home with two.
Jarod competed in two weight classes winning silver in his own weight class and gold in one weight class up.

There were people from all over the Kenora District and as far away as Winnipeg out for the last night for qualifying in the $3,000 Karaoke Contest.

The last 3 semi-finalists are Cheynna Gardner, Phyllis Niessen and Jessica Harvey

The semi-finals will be upstairs at the Legion on Saturday night, and tickets will be sold at the door for $5. Only 250 will be available, so show up early!

The Dryden Food Bank shelves are going to be full again!
The city's Easter Food Drive was a huge success with 21 teams grabbing around 45 hundred items, which is 1 thousand more than last year.
