A special thank you goes out to the Vermilion Bay Kinsmen Club for donating their time to cook and provide the music. (July 11; C.Mann) Dryden Regional Health Centre welcomes First Year Medical Student (and local product) Blaire Langlais for a one month placement with Dr. Yvon Gagnon. Blaire will be joining Dr. Gagnon for inpatient rounds, stress testing and a shift in Emergency Medicine at the DRHC during her stay. (DRHC photo July 14) Hagan Heroes become the first Dryden team in 5 years to win the Sterling Crossman Memorial Men's Slo-Pitch Tournament. (July 11; M.Pinette) A large garage was destroyed by fire near Highway 601. See CKDR News for more information. (July 10; Oxdrift Fire) "Ontario Family Fishing Week" turned into a real experience for Tom Stemkoski and his grandson Jaden - who snagged a 5.5 pound bass!
