It is with great sorrow that we announce the passing of Frances Walmsley, age 64 of Eagle Lake First Nation on Saturday March 23, 2002 at the Dryden Regional Health Centre.
Frances loved bingo. She also enjoyed blueberry picking and rice picking. Frances had a great interest in traditional dancing as well as square dancing.
Frances Walmsley will be sadly missed by her husband Fred Walmsley of Eagle Lake First Nation; her sons Allan, Edward, Fred Jr..and Alvin. Her daughter Penny (Bill) Gardner. Brothers Frank Landon and Willie Landon. Sisters Alice Landon, Margaret Belmore, Sara Jane Turner and Marlene Landon. Brother in law Willie Walmsley and family. Nine grandchildren Tim Walmsley, Edwine Walmsley, Nathan Walmsley, Amelia Walmsley, Andrea Walmsley, Angela Murphy, Chris Gardner, William Gardner Jr. and Elizabeth Gardner. Five Great grandchildren Storm Walmsley, Thunderbird Walmsley, Joshua Henry Lee, Taylor Derosier and Alex Derosier. Numerous nieces and nephews also survive.
Frances Walmsley was predeceased by her Father Maurice Landon, Mother Sara Landon, Son Stanley Walmsley, Grandson Lorne Green and brothers Steve Landon, Wilfred Landon and Maurice Landon.
Visitation for Frances Walmsley will be held from Monday March 25, 2002 at 10:00 a.m. at the Eagle River Community Hall till time of service.
Traditional Funeral Services will he beld Thursday March 28, 2002 at 1:00 p.m. with Elder Robert Kelly officiating. Interment at the Eagle Lake Cemetery.
