National Drowning Prevention Weeks starts today and Red Lake is prepared.
Spokesperson from the Goldcorp Recreation Centre Gwyneth Carlson says people should expect to see events take place such as many free open swims and swimming workshops.
She says open swims will be taking place as well as a water sports fun night.
Carlson also says they’ll be at local beaches today to talk to people about keeping safe in the water.
Prizes can be won too!
