The Dryden Eagles Boys High School Hockey team saved their best for last Thursday night.
Playing in their final regular season game of the year, the Eagles stunned the hometown Fort Frances Muskies 4-3, handing the Muskies their only loss of the season.
It didn’t look good for Dryden as they fell behind early, trailing Fort Frances 3-0 after the first period.
Jacob Lugli spurred the comeback with a pair of goals in the second, including a powerplay marker.
Noah Brunton tied the game in the third with a shorthanded goal.
Keith Wrolstad won the game with a powerplay goal.
Jace Gamble made 27 saves for the victory.
Dryden outshot the Muskies 40-30.
With the win, the Eagles clinched second place.
They will face St. Thomas Aquinas Saints in the Semi-Final.
Game 1 of the Best of 3 Series is tentatively scheduled for next Friday in Dryden.
