Two athletes from Dryden High School now have their name etched in the record books.
Lindsay Coles and Michael Ryan both recorded new NWOSSA records in the Discus event Wednesday at the northern championships in Thunder Bay.
Ryan recorded a throw of 42.78-metres. (Old record: Mason Shawayahamish-Geraldton 42.02m set in 2008)
Coles tossed the discus 35.60-metres on her final throw. (Old record: F. Jensen-Hillcrest 35.21 set in 1985)
They are now off to the All-Ontario Finals in Belleville.

Brennan Walter 4th in junior boys 200m dash, 4th in 400m dash, and 3rd in the 100m dash. ?and is also a candidate for OFSSA. ?
