The Dryden Regional Health Centre will have to wait before installing the Meditech System.
The Information Technology will electronically link all Hospitals West of Manitouwadge, and will allow Doctors to quickly access patient records.
Dryden Hospital Assistant CEO Wade Petranik says the total cost of the project has soared from $6 million to $12 million.
However, Petranik believes the project is on stable ground stating the Provincial Government understands the importance of Information Technology.
He says the System will be installed in smaller Hospitals first and then regional Centre’s late next year.
