A 67 year old Red Lake man is dead in what is believed to be a bear attack.
Provincial Police were contacted Monday of an overdue man who left his home in the morning to go blueberry picking on Tuzyk Road off Highway 105 between Red Lake and Ear Falls.
Officers located the victim and found a bear nearby the body.
The animal was killed by officers.
The Ministry of Natural Resources and Forestry has been contacted and will be sending the bear to Guelph for testing.
The name of the victim hasn’t been released.
